John Lotton Large Pink Floral Fantasy Vase (1993)
Own this one-of-its-kind John Lotton tall, pink, floral vase with John's fantasy long stemmed flowers adorning the upper portions of the vase. After an unfortunate accident, John — a younger son of glass master Charles Lotton — stopped producing his amazing creations for the Lotton Studios several decades ago. John is known particularly for his innovative color sense and particular floral patterns like the "Clematis" and" Vine and Leaf" motifs. There are limited numbers of John Lotton art glass pieces on the market, and the size of this particular piece along with its whimsical concept, is a rarity.
It is a must-have for any serious Lotton collector or institution.
John's pink floral vase has 5 long-stemmed fantasy flowers and heart-shaped green leaves adorning the long stems . It tapers toward the top, and then has a flared lip. This piece would actually be a perfect vase for displaying long-stemmed flowers... if you trust that the cat would not want to explore it.
The vase is approximately 10 inches high, about 5 inches across at the flared top. It weighs nearly 4 lbs. It is cased (a clear outer layer of clear glass encasing the inner parts of the work).
