Pair of Dutch Porcelain Display Plates in Brass Mounting
Fine company for dinner! Our exquisite pair of Dutch Porcelain Maiden Portraits — displayed in Renaissance-style Brass Mountings — will make you feel you have company even if dining alone. The Renaissance ambiance and beautifully painted costumes suggest West Frisian origin (the Northern and Eastern part of modern day Netherlands).
These plates adorned the Spurrier home's Dining Room for many years and were part of their estate. They are beautifully executed by an artist whose signature we cannot find. They are mounted in ornamental brass surrounds which facilitate their being easily hung for display.
They measure about 6 inches wide and are made of fine porcelain. They weigh about a half pound each with the brass mountings.
