Chair - Elegant French Imperial-Style Seating

This beautiful Empire-style French chair is painted in gold metallic paint and upholstered in a royal French Blue fabric that has a faint striping to it. The piece is elegantly carved and would probably have been used in a Ballroom or Hallway but not for every-day use. It is about 3 feet high (the back) and about 18 inches off the floor to the seat, which is about 16 inches in depth.

It has unusual colors and is elegant. We have used it to decorate our Great Room for many years. It has its own separate alcove, but we rarely use it for seating as it is delicate and many of our guests are not.
