Daniel Lotton Iridescent Purple Fern Perfume Bottle (2019)

SKU: RSB-00026

Daniel Lotton's Purple Fern Perfume Bottle is an over-the-top fantasy of iridescent purples, greens and a long and carefully crafted stopper (finial) that has its own charm and meticulous workmanship. It is fragile, yet sturdy.

According to Lotton Glass: The Legacy, "... One of Daniel's earliest threaded designs was Fern, which he has used on bowls, vases and perfume bottles ... Continuing his quest for more creative designs, Daniel first developed his Anthurium, then Tulipticus, his two-layer Cynthia flower (named for his wife), Christmas cactus and other floral and threaded patters. His designs have a flowing, romantic appeal."

As quoted in the Lotton Legacy book, p. 258: Daniel takes one day at a time. "A hundred years from now, people will find Lotton prices above Tiffany's for their time. Tiffany made beautiful glass and had many blowers constructing his designs, much of which were mold-blown. Many other studios also hire glass blowers. Each piece signed "Lotton" is made by a Lotton and no one else. Each piece is shaped and decorated by hand and is truly one of a kind. It will stand the test of time. And it will be the most highly collected glass anywhere."

Own this piece of beauty now, while it is affordable. It is about 9 inches high, 8 inches wide, and weighs about 5 lbs. It is wild and wonderful to see glow, wherever it wants you to place it.
