Cut to Clear Bohemian Ruby Glass Set (early 20th Century)

This stunning set of Bohemian Cut to Clear Ruby glass tumblers sets the stage for drama anywhere they are rolled out. The rich deep Ruby colors and the exquisite cut engraving is something that, simply put, is of another age. "No Dixie Cups for our guests, only the best" said the person who sold them to us.

The set is typical of the Bohemian motifs of the Hapsburg Age. With Vienna the Capital of the immense Empire, Bohemia was a prime center of world-renowned glass manufacture and creation — and it still is, under its independence as the Czech Republic. We can imagine these tumblers being used for special occasions. This set of 6 glasses has no chips although there is some wear on several of them (see photos).

Each glass is delicate, is about 4 inches high, and quite light, weighing about 6 ounces each.
