Fehinani Oil Painting "Fishermen in the Tempest"

This charming small scene of fishermen braving the tempest is full of storm-driven energy and challenge. We think the artist's n name is "Fehinari" but it is unclear to us how the artist's signature can be so difficult to decipher. The painting was purchased at auction in the early 1990's and we were attracted to its impactful colors and the story it may depict.

The painting is about 14 inches by 10 inches and is on a panel. It is surrounded by an attractive traditional frame, ornately embellished and gilded.

We have kept this piece in our library for years, and think it would be ideal in a similar place, or in a dining room.
